Hello!
In the midst of a time where universities and schools are planning to go completely online, this subject is all the more relevant.
I have read a little more into John Sweller's theory and I really loved this YouTube video explaining its applications.
I think I will try and implement these ideas into any learning I take part in, whether it is my own or teaching others. Whilst I agree with the premise of removing excess words and so forth, I think there needs to be accompanying material with that detail in it (in the form of lecture notes or something) to ensure that the detail is not missed.
I looked into and subscribed to Doveton College's Youtube channel (mentioned in the Mitra in Music video), as I thought what the students doing there looked very innovative. Here is a cute video of what year 7 students created in music class using technology, and the approach mentioned in the video.
I then went on look at the layout of my website. I was very happy with my desktop layout, however I noticed my phone/ tablet view was a mess. Wix was very easy to use to help create a phone/ tablet view. Here is what I did:

I then moved some things around to make sure they all fitted on the screen.
Here is the final result:
Lastly, I have come up with the beginnings of an idea which might be fun to do for my project for this subject. I was inspired by a video of people playing music on their balconies in Italy, to try and battle the loneliness of the enforced isolation. I was thinking about how this could work in Australian suburbs, as many of our residential areas are still fairly spread out, and people's balconies are not that close to each other (although that is rapidly changing with the increasing population). If Sydney is forced to go into social isolation, how can music groups keep going? The answer I thought could be something like Eric Whitacre's virtual choir, where he is able to create a choir without everyone being in the same space by using technology. If I was able to create something along those lines, it could be great for morale during social isolation, but also could have many impacts on and uses for education (rural schools, students with serious illness, school projects, etc). I will keep pondering this idea over the next week. Here is a link which explains the Visual choir:
Also for next week, I need to get onto how to use twitter as a PLE.
