Today was a full day of instrument creation for me, and a successful day it was. I am narrowing down some designs and I am really please with how things are turning out.
The first instrument was inspired by this video:
This is a fairly common flute design, so I took this flute and combined it with a few other techniques I found on YouTube.
And I made this!

Next I made two more instruments. One is my own design using my plastic reed and the other is Linsey Pollak's Foonki.

So yeah! I'm pretty pleased. What I need to research more is the placement of finger holes for accurate tuning and how to not let them affect the quality of sound. I might try and get in touch with Linsey Pollak and see if has any wisdom on this front. But I am pretty please in the wind department for now, next up is the thongaphone!
After my day of making ended I continued to work on the website for this project. A few days ago I set up a joint email account for Larisa and I, and using this email I created a Wix account so we could make our website. So tonight I have setup the template of the website so Larisa and I can drop our content in there once we have made it. Here is a little preview of what I made today. (Please note there are some templates with random photos and text in there still).
Larisa has made some great progress with her ukulele this week, and I can't wait to see how it turns out!
That's all for today. Only three week's left until the project is due!
